Seung-Jae Lee was born in Seoul, Korea, in 1955. He received his B.E. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Seoul National University, Korea, in 1979 and 1981, respectively. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington,Seattle, USA in 1988. Currently, he is a Professor at Myongji University and a Director at NPTC (Next-Generation PowerTechnology Center). His major research fields are protective relaying, distribution automation, and AI applications to power systems.
